LIFE OF PURPOSE
Bethany Kassar, MSW, LCSW
Bethany received a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California and is a licensed clinical social worker. She has over 20 years of experience with treating both addiction and mental health issues with both the individual and their family. Bethany came from the Los Angeles area with a variety of experiences including working within the EAP system of the largest public works company in Southern California providing both mental health and addiction treatment services. She also worked with incarcerated adolescent youth in maximum secured facility and helped to create and implement and drug and alcohol treatment program for an agency servicing the entertainment industry. After moving to the Philadelphia area, Bethany has continued to work for various outpatient settings providing addiction, mental health and triage services. Her passion is to include the whole family/support system within the treatment environment. Bethany’s approach is both holistic, empathic and family systems in nature, focusing on the family as an emotional unit in order to begin to facilitate the healing process.
Beth Ann Rue, MSW, LCSW, 200YT
Elizabeth Rue, known by the staff and clients as Beth, is an experienced Clinical Director, Therapist, and Yoga Instructor. Driven by a passion to help others become comfortable with being within themselves, Beth takes pride in providing the most quality care that addresses the whole person while addressing sobriety. As a Clinical Director, her goals include creating culture for the Life of Purpose Clinical team, highlighting staffs strengths, and providing an environment of evidence based and cutting edge treatment modalities to address the symptoms of co-occurring substance abuse disorders. In addition to being the Clinical Director, Beth is known for her understanding the importance of bodywork for trauma and prioritizing movement to aid in healing and ownership of one’s body. Outside of work hours, Beth enjoys hiking, rock climbing, being in nature and journaling.
Amanda Keenan – LPC, CAADC
Amanda is an experienced licensed clinician specializing in addiction treatment for young adults and adolescents. Amanda has been in the field for eight years. Amanda’s specialty has a strong emphasis on treating co-occurring disorders. As Facility Director of Life of Purpose at the Fort Washington location, Amanda is responsible for about supervising clinicians and support staff and ensure excellent client care. Her goals consist of offering compassionate and comprehensive care to those affected by addiction, as well as their loved ones. She believes addiction is a family disease and that it is important to create a safe and supportive space for motivation and hope to grow. Amanda’s interventions are designed to help people believe that they can truly live a purposeful life.
Camille DeRose-King – MA, LPC, CAADC, CCTP
Camille is an experienced addictions treatment professional and clinical supervisor. Camille received her education at Rosemont College earning a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. She deepened her studies there with a concentration in addiction counseling. Driven by the belief that recovery is possible, she takes pride in providing the best trauma-informed clinical care possible. As a facility director she is passionate about supervising clinicians and support staff from a strengths-based approach to continue to improve the quality and delivery of client care. In addition to supervising, she is continually improving her own clinical skills for the clients she works with individually. Outside of the office, Camille enjoys tap dancing, yoga, reading and singing.
