Clients meet for two hours weekly with an individual therapist and academically focused case manager while attending at least one group session per week that covers issues related to substance use disorders and the challenges of being a student in recovery.
Offered as a stand-alone program or as a step down from our intensive outpatient treatment, our Academically Focused Aftercare Program™ seeks to provide ongoing clinical and case management support to the recovering client in pursuit of higher education. It is designed to address a gap in traditional addiction treatment services offered to young people returning to college.
This program focuses on the management of stressors common to college students in early or long-term recovery. In our supportive environment, clients strengthen and learn new self-advocacy skills and how to bolster the coping mechanisms necessary to stay sober while navigating the challenges of a college education.
We want Life of Purpose clients to thrive as self-sufficient adults by strengthening all the life skills necessary for academic and professional development as well as critical self-care.
